Where and when does the
event take place?
January 1 2010 at
Coronation Park in Oakville
Registration is open from 12:30pm to 1:45pm and the dip takes place at 2pm sharp
What time should I
arrive?
Try to arrive before 1:30pm to avoid any last minute rushes at the registration
desk.
If you are taking part in the costume contest at 1:30pm, try to arrive by 1pm.
What time is the
costume contest?
The costume contest takes place at 1:30pm on the main stage.
What is the minimum age
for dippers?
There is no minimum age. Dippers under 18 must have their waiver form signed by
a parent or guardian.
Where can I get changed after the dip?
We will have 2 cube vans set up at the park as change rooms which can be used
before and after the dip.
Where can I find
parking?
Once the lots at the park are full, please head over to
Harvest Bible Chapel
at 1215 Lakeshore Road West.
We will be running a free shuttle bus from this lot to
the park from 12:30pm until 3pm.
Are washrooms available
on site?
We will have 4 portable washrooms available courtesy of
Natures Call
What forms of payment
do you accept at registration?
We accept cash or personal cheques made out to World Vision Canada
How can my friends and family sponsor me?
They can give you cash or a personal cheque (made out to World Vision Canada)
which you will submit during registration.
If they have donated $20 or more and have added their name and address to your
sponsor form, they will receive a tax receipt.
If
you have friends who want to sponsor you online you can send them to our
Donate Now link.
They will receive an email confirmation of their donation which they must
forward to you.
You will print a copy of the e-receipt and bring it to the park to hand in at
registration.
This way their donation will be attributed to your total.
Where is my tax receipt
from THE 2009 EVENT?
The $25 registration fee is not eligible for a tax receipt.
Sponsor funds submitted at the event last year were received and processed by
World Vision in 2009.
Receipts will be sent in February of 2010 so they can be claimed on 2009 tax
returns.
