What You Should Know
There is a risk associated with
going into Lake Ontario on January 1, 2010. The temperature of the water and the
surrounding environment may be extremely cold and Lake Ontario is polluted. You
should consult your physician prior to engaging in this event. Individuals who
are pregnant, or have poor cardiac functioning, or suffer from a seizure
disorder should not participate.
1. Download and complete your
Registration/Waiver Form,
and bring it with you on the day of the dip along with your $25
registration fee (please bring exact change)
2. Go out and get some sponsors and place them on the sponsor section of
the registration form. Sponsors who enter their complete address on your
form and pledge $20 or more will be sent a tax receipt.
Tax Receipt Note: as these
funds will be received by World Vision in 2010, receipts will be
sent in February of 2011 so they can be claimed on 2010 tax returns.
Tax receipts for the 2009 event will be sent by World Vision in
February of 2010

3. Arrive at Coronation Park in Oakville
between 12:30 & 1:30 and visit the registration table to hand over your
sponsorship money, collect your wristband and pick up your free SWAG
BAG!
