The 2003 Event
It
was a cold and windy day this year at the 18th Annual Polar Bear Dip,
but over 320 people decided to take that cold plunge in Lake Ontario on
January 1st. There was so much energy and excitement in the air, a
crowd of approximately 5000 people bared that cold wind also to see the
jumpers. Spectators started to arrive around 12:00pm to find a
good spot to see when the jumpers went in. Many of our jumpers
participated in the costume contests that were also held. With
coverage by all media we are proud to say that we raised $20,000.
